The Washington Mobile Department of Licensing recently visited Covenant Living at the Shores to help residents prepare for the upcoming travel regulation changes taking effect on May 7. A group of our residents, known as the Yarn Buddies, have created handmade teddy bears that are now riding along with Mercer Island’s Police and Fire Departments!
These soft, lovable bears will be given to children during emergencies to bring comfort and calm in tough situations. It’s a beautiful example of our residents using their talents to serve the greater community.
